Day 2 – Tuesday, September 23

Arrive Rome | St. Paul Outside the Walls | Welcome Dinner

After landing in Rome, we head to St. Paul Outside the Walls for our first Mass of the pilgrimage. Then, we transfer to our hotel to enjoy a special Welcome Dinner followed by a restful night’s sleep.

Day 3 – Wednesday, September 24

St. John Lateran | St. Mary Major

Today we visit the basilicas of St. John Lateran and St. Mary Major. At each site, we will enjoy a tour and pass through the Holy Doors to receive our Jubilee indulgences.

Day 4 – Thursday, September 25

Depart Rome | Arrive Assisi | Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels | Basilica of St. Francis

Today, we travel to Assisi to experience Mass and a tour of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels before ascending to Assisi proper to visit the Basilica of St. Francis.

Day 5 – Friday, September 26

Basilica of St. Clare | Convent of San Damiano | Free Afternoon

We begin with Mass at the Basilica of St. Clare, followed by a guided tour and a visit to the nearby Convent of San Damiano. The rest of the afternoon is free for us to explore Assisi at our own pace.

Day 6 – Saturday, September 27

Depart Assisi | Arrive Florence | Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore

Leaving Assisi, we reach Florence. There, we celebrate a private Mass at the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Then, we check into our hotel and relax before dinner.

Day 7 – Sunday, September 28

Walking Tour of Florence | Basilica of San Lorenzo | Accademia

We begin with a walking tour of Florence’s most famous sites, including Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Ponte Vecchio. The tour ends with a visit to the Basilica of San Lorenzo. After Mass and free time for lunch, we proceed to the Accademia Gallery to admire masterpieces by Botticelli, Bartolini, and Michelangelo.

Day 8 – Monday, September 29

Day Trip to Pisa

Arriving in Pisa, we celebrate a private Mass at the Basilica of Pisa. After Mass, we take a walking tour of the city, including visits to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Baptistry of St. John, and the Monumental Cemetery, before returning to Florence in the late afternoon.

Day 9 – Tuesday, September 30

Depart Florence | Orvieto | Arrive Rome

On our last day in Rome, we share in the truly unique experience of attending a Papal Audience. An early morning start ensures the best possible views of the Holy Father as he personally greets and addresses the faithful. Afterward, we enjoy a tour of the famous Vatican Museum, where we will have the chance to view two of Michelangelo’s masterpieces, the Sistine Chapel ceiling and The Last Judgment. We later close the day by enjoying a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 10 – Wednesday, October 1

General Audience | Vatican Museum | Farewell Dinner

On our last day in Rome, we share in the truly unique experience of attending a Papal Audience. Day 11 – Thursday, October 2

With our hearts and minds fortified by faith and fellowship, we now begin the long journey home.

Pricing for this pilgrimage was determined according to exchange rates and fuel prices at the time of quotation (03/01/25) and by assuming that there will be at least 35 participants. Should exchange rates or fuel prices rise significantly, or the total number of participants fall below 30 at the final payment date, ABBA Tours may ask for additional compensation to make up for the increased costs caused by these factors.

Registered participants will be informed of any such supplemental payment prior to the final payment date for this pilgrimage, as shown on the trip brochure.
